While she details her adventures from a first person narrative, including many personal details, it also highlighted how little respect women were afforded even in the 1970\u2019s. From Ms. Joyce not having control of her money to her husband making the decisions that involved both of them.
\nThis enlightening memoir included growth and insight along with her travelogue touches. It also took me back to a time where traveling across the world was not an easy thing, and was often dangerous. Kudos to Ms. Joyce for being lucky in this lifetime and in all the others too.<\/p>\n
